Job Title: Air Import Operation Agent
Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Manager
Work Location: South San Francisco, CA
Schedule: 8am - 5pm (M - F)

Overview:
A global leading Freight Forwarding/ Logistics company is looking for a motivated candidate for the opening of Customer Service/ Operation Agent in their Air Import department.
The Air Import CS/ Operation Agent will arrange freight flows for client companies in the electrical, automotive, semiconductor, and consumer goods industries. You will be coordinating various aspects of the import process, maintaining accurate documentation, and delivering excellent customer service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
* Coordinate with carriers and other departments to confirm status of shipments and to ensure that orders are filled correctly.
* Process fee payments to the carrier or cargo freight station. (i.e. ISF - the Import Service Fee)
* Maintain records of shipments, delivery status, copies of airline payments and documents in the system.
* Arrange the pickup and delivery of consolidation documents to brokers.
* Prepare documents and process delivery for air import cargos and shipments.
* Keep track of cargos in transit to ensure that the air import shipments arrive at the destination on time.
* Arrange dispatch of truck drivers to coordinate the delivery of goods.
* Provide shipment alerts and arrival details to customers.
* Escalate any major delays or issues to management teams to suggest remedies and solve problems accordingly.
* Perform duties requested by Management.


Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
* Ability to work in a fact paced environment.
* Ability to multitask under pressure while meeting deadlines.
* Interested in a global logistics/ freight forwarding industry. Willingness to learn new systems (Logistics Applications such as AS400, Cargosprint and Unified Freight System UFS).

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
