Who is Senior Aerospace Spencer?

Senior Aerospace Spencer is an engineer-driven organization focused on high-pressure hydraulic fluid fittings for use in commercial and military aerospace applications. We specialize in source-controlled, standard, and proprietary fittings. Senior Aerospace Spencer also identifies solutions for fluid conveyance challenges related to fitting applications. Our engineering capabilities include conceptual design assistance, modeling, testing and qualification. About the Job:

We are seeing a driven detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase order, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating, and maintaining inventory, quality assurance and coordinating with inventory team and management. The Materials Buyer will be responsible for the following.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and buying the right products as per the job requirement.
  • Continuously monitoring market demand and supply.
  • Negotiate with supplier to get the product with the best price.
  • Make procurement contract with the supplier in line with future demand.
  • Communicating order status with sales and production.
  • Submit weekly report to management regarding purchasing status.
  • Develop a supply chain to purchase required products.
  • Estimate future buying needs.
  • Develop and maintain purchasing database to keep track of product and provide updated status of each order.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions aimed at the improvement of procurement.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting and documentation to support inspection readiness, compliance, and procurement performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with supply base.
  • Coordinate with inventory team, management and stockroom as needed.
  • Assess quantity of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Degree or General Education Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • At least 2 years prior experience as a buyer.
