Join PPG Aerospace as an Operational Excellence Engineer! Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, you'll improve, implement Lean methodologies, and contribute to operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Foster positive, professional relationships across all levels
- Develop work standards for productivity and line balancing
- Increase machining processes for quality, efficiency, and repeatability
- Implement manufacturing cost reductions for process improvement
- Collaborate with Engineering to design machines, tools, and increase work flow
- Manage projects for product improvement
- Communicate Lean group's philosophy, vision, and expectations; provide employee training on lean concepts
- Lead value stream mapping exercises for business improvement
- Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve service-related issues
- Align with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements; perform assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Four (4) years of Lean Manufacturing experience required
- Minimum of a Green Belt required
- Knowledge of Aerospace manufacturing concepts and application desired
- High School Diploma or general education equivalent required
- Available to travel 15-20%
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 Depending on experience
