Project Engineer

Are you an organized leader with great communication skills? Are you looking to build a career as a Project Engineer with a leading innovator of Turbo Expander technology? In this role, you will lead a small team of engineers that create custom engineered solutions in the energy industry. You will be required to handle multiple projects in different stages as they make their way through the design and manufacturing process.

The compensation range for this position is $97,302 to $123,052 annually. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus. What you will own & improve:

  1. Engineering Design: You will lead a small engineering team of 3-4 people with a goal to deliver a custom engineered turbo expander on time and on budget. Your responsibilities include facilitating design reviews, drawing/document creation and approvals while keeping your team on schedule to deliver a complete turbo expander unit.

  1. Technical Customer Meetings: You will lead technical discussions with our customers to find the best solutions that meet the customer and project requirements.

  1. Continuous Improvement: You will create ways to improve engineering process by reducing design cycle time and/or reduce errors while keeping manufacturability in mind.

What you already know:

  1. Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical or similar engineering field or equivalent skill set and work experience.

  1. General understanding of pumps, motors, coolers, heaters, and control systems as they apply to lube oil and seal gas systems.

  1. General knowledge of PLC and HMI control system architecture (Allen Bradley).

  1. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe.

What you will learn (if you don't know already):

  1. SCRUM process to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.

  1. PLM and ERP systems (Enovia and SAP)

  1. Industry standards (API, ASME, NEC, CSA, IEC etc.)

How Success is measured:

  1. Completion of projects on time and under budget

  1. Improvement projects of engineering and manufacturing processes

About the Team:

This role reports to the Systems Engineer Manager and will work as an integral part of a tight-knit engineering team. Other team members include Project Manager, Instrument and Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineer and Systems Engineer. You may work across teams and departments when working on improvement projects or solving complex issues.
