Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, the Outpatient Pharmacy Technician II performs a full range of duties in a retail pharmacy setting and able to perform all general tasks in all areas of the pharmacy. They will assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patient use according to established procedures; facilitates in the distribution of medications including delivery of medications to the patient's bedside (Med-2-Bed program); performs computer order entry, record keeping, and billing functions; maintains inventory levels; and performs other duties as assigned. Will perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and will assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in different pharmacy areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSPharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Must have two to five (2 - 5) years of previous (retail) Pharmacy Tech experience.
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
Computer experience and accurate data entry skills.
Detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information.
Ability to manage assigned workload within deadlines.
Strong excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.

Annual Full Pay Range: $52,388 - $65,146 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $25.09 - $31.20
