Senior Test Engineer

Description:

As a Senior Test Engineer at MACOM, you will partner with the Design, Application and Product engineers to develop and support automated test solutions for product test, application support, characterization and verification for the MMIC design group located in Santa Clara, CA. You will be challenged with amplifier, control and frequency conversion products that need test solutions from DC to 110GHz and beyond. Experience dealing with wafer and die products is strongly desired. Your skills and knowledge related to RF/DC test and measurement instruments and methods will be key to your success, as will your attention to detail, ability to communicate ideas, ability to reduce test times and your passion for excellence. The position is within a fast paced development engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Design, Application and Product Engineering to specify and develop test plans.
  • Specify, acquire, and integrate test equipment required to support specified test plans.
  • Develop, deploy, and support complete hardware and software test solutions for high performance RF products.
  • Respond to and support internal engineering customers to identify and remedy any test related root causes.
  • Establish and comply with test standardization efforts including hardware, software, methods, and procedures.
  • Implement robust test methods in support of quality and productivity goals.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or BSCS and a minimum of 5 years of experience in RF test engineering and test solution development.
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for software and hardware debugging.
  • Advanced expert knowledge of RF test instruments, fixtures, measurements, and methods including equipment calibration, de-embedding, network analyzers, Noise Figure measurement, power and linearity measurements.
  • Fluency in Python required.
  • Wafer and/or die probing experience required.
  • Detail oriented with strong fundamentals in core test engineering principles including test time reduction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative to address and appropriately escalate problems to achieve rapid resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering peer groups in a dynamic, collaborative and results oriented environment.

Salary Range: $76,777 - $125,267

Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
