Regional Interior Design Assistant Summary:

This position requires assisting the Regional Merchandising Manager and Interior Designers with the development and implementation of model homes. The position requires an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, ability to cope under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn and have a professional, supportive attitude.



Responsibilities

  • Assist Interior Designers and Merchandising Manager in all functions.
  • Assist in conceptual design presentations.
  • Develop model specification packages in CAD.
  • Assist in ordering and tracking of model furniture and accessories.
  • Work with the Merchandising Manager to coordinate delivery and installation of model homes.
  • Coordinate model vendors - i.e. blinds, specialty built-ins and custom-made deliverables as needed.
  • Work with Merchandising Manager and Interior Designers to create interior model palettes.
  • Assist Merchandising Director on special design projects as necessary.
  • Coordinate vendor invoices for processing and payment with accounting departments.
  • Attend Model installations as necessary.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • One (1) year of Interior Design background preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor of Arts degree preferred
  • Valid and unrestricted Motor Vehicle License required
  • Moderate Regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required
  • Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Excel, Word and PowerPoint on Macintosh platform preferred
  • Experience in purchasing and/or accounting preferred
  • Must possess initiative and be highly motivated
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task at a fast pace
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
  • Strong work ethic, good communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback

Physical Requirements:

Position requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.
