As the Assistant Maintenance Supervisor, you are the plant equipment and systems subject matter expert delivering innovative solutions to improve and enhance maintenance operations. You will lead the maintenance team by identifying, prioritizing, and executing preventative maintenance and repair of all plant production and facilities equipment to increase plant capacity, capabilities, and efficiencies. This is a Swing shift position (3:45pm - 12:15am).

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Planning and prioritizing department work (50%):

  • Support Plant maintenance and facilities of operations.
  • Promotes a safety-first environment by following and enforcing all safety rules throughout the facility.
  • Ensures completion of daily tasks and work orders for all maintenance, repairs and modifications to all equipment and facilities.
  • Assists with developing and maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Support projects and work orders; Oversee all work or services performed by outside contractors and vendor technicians.
  • Support the inventory of purchased parts;
  • Maintains technical documentation library and development of maintenance requirements for new equipment: manage the use of the maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Work with production scheduling to plan and schedule projects and maintenance programs
  • Manage spare parts inventory control personnel to determine spare parts requirements and order quantities based on lessons learned through PM activities and budget.
  • Develop and maintain front-line performance standards
  • Coordinates daily maintenance of equipment. Develops and maintains preventative maintenance programs with proper schedule turn time.
  • Completes and maintain accurate performance reports and records as well as other administrative duties as needed.
  • Create and monitor work plan and schedules
  • Lead and conduct daily improvement team meetings.

Project Management (25%):

  • Assist with project management of new equipment or facility expansion/improvements.
  • Coordinates and maintains positive vendor/contractor relations for equipment and services as required.
  • Proactively ensure contractors are effectively inducted and adhering to internal and external compliance requirements.

Lead, direct, and provide support to the maintenance teams on a regular basis in order to ensure high efficiency of work (25%).

  • Complete and maintain accurate time and attendance records.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and/or mentoring to staff to help achieve department and individual goals and improve performance
  • Coach and develop maintenance team to build team capability and improve performance.
  • Actively supervise and assists in completion of maintenance work
  • Identifies best practices to reduce equipment downtime, eliminate recurring equipment issues, and improve efficiency
  • Assists with interviewing and selection of maintenance department team members.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Technician Certification, Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent OJT Preferred.
  • 2 years managing others Required.
  • Able to interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and CMMS Applications is Preferred.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems in an industrial environment Preferred.
  • Familiar with electrical/electronic components and equipment.

This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as a Warehouse/Production floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. Regularly work around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions. times.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 5% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Stockton, CA. This is a Swing shift position (3:45pm - 12:15am).

PAY

$68500 - $89100 / Year
