RAPP Los Angeles is looking for a Director, Experience Strategy to join our award-winning Experience Strategy team.

YOUR ROLE:

If you are passionated about technology and planning and want to build strategies for some of the largest global companies, then keep reading. We are looking for Director, Experience Planning to lead strategic planning for clients in the retail and communications sectors.

Your role is to architect communication plans across paid/owned/earned media collaborating with the creative team to bring these to life, as well as collaborate with our Analytics group to establish the KPIs that matter most, define the learning agenda and optimization plan.

Your strategies are built on meaningful insights from your thorough analysis of the sitiuation across cultural, category and consumer trends. You architect customer journeys that help us undertand what moments in the journey we must win, what information customers are looking for, what channels they use and who influences their decisions.

You understand the growing importance of content and influencer marketing in building meaningful experiences that progress buyers across the decision process. As a thought leader you are responsible for the continuous advancement and modernization of the principles that drive best practices in our evolving landscape.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the development of strategic deliverables for clients
  • Lead the creative briefing process unearthing insights that will lead to great work that performs
  • Lead the development of customer journeys focusing on the drivers of behavior that will result in more effective communication strategies
  • Partner with Business Leadership to crystallize desired business outcomes, identifying challenges and opportunities to sharpen team understanding of the solutions needed to deliver commercial value
  • Collaborate with Analysts and Data Scientists to understand target behaviors, program performance, and areas for ongoing optimization.
  • Collaborate with Creatives, Technologists and User Experience teams to ensure innovation springs from a deep knowledge of industry best practice, human empathy, and a hunger for what might be possible across the media and technology landscape.
  • Recruit, review and develop direct reports, providing for their professional growth and ensuring high levels of engagement.
  • Contribute to organic growth initiatives and new business opportunities.
  • Develop think-pieces that push the industry forward, participate in conferences, and run internal learning forums.
  • Engage with our clients to bring our thinking to life from idea development through delivery

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8-10 years' experience in demand generation, customer and digital marketing
  • Have an understanding of new technics such programmatic media and marketing automation platforms and how they work together to create adaptable, always-on, measurable experiences
  • Fluent in market research techniques both quantitative and qualitative, as well as new methodologies that combine both approaches
  • Competency when using analytical and research data to surface human insights that inspire and inform solution design
  • History of success writing and presenting to senior marketing leaders
  • Experience working on a large, integrated accounts a plus
  • Curious above all

This range is specific to Los Angeles and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
