Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Senior Preconstruction Manager to join our team!

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Successfully develop concept through final GMP estimates
  • Deep involvement in creation and pricing of site logistics plans
  • Perform quantity take-offs of key construction systems
  • Create project estimates individually and with a team
  • Solicit subcontractor pricing for budgeting and bid proposals through use of Building Connected
  • Development of project specific bid documents
  • Scope and select subcontractors based on best value and project requirements
  • Build and develop local cost intelligence
  • Support the development, architectural, and construction team with preconstruction expertise including design management, value design, cost tracking through design evolution, procurement, and project pursuits
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to estimators and Project Management staff
  • Provide direction for understanding project scope, market pricing, and available resources
  • Assist clients and developers with conceptual budgets of all types of construction
  • Capable of cost modeling using Uniformat II and CSI

To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architectural, or Construction Management and at least 10 years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living and/or multifamily experience preferred).

You will really stand out if you:

  • Understand construction means and methods, building types, and procurement methods
  • Have proficiency with CSI and Uniformat II work breakdown structures
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel, OST, Bluebeam, Destini, Building Connected and MS Project
  • Bring well established subcontractor and designer relationships to the organization
