Here's What You'll Do:

Our goal is to introduce students (later undergrad, masters or PhDs) to career paths in industry related to the company's sales organization including roles directly in sales as well those in technical support, instrument service, business development, marketing, product management, customer service and leadership. The program is designed to give interns a holistic view of career paths in the organization and work directly with colleagues with technical and advanced degrees. You also will have the opportunity to interact with leading scientists and get hands on experience with cutting edge imaging technologies.

This is a remote role (i.e., relocation to a ZEISS facility is not required) with a high degree of travel including daily trips to customer labs to do field work with sales, service and application teams, extended time (1-2 weeks) at our ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center in Dublin CA and a final trip to our headquarters in White Plains NY.

Candidate will have a designated mentor and supervisor for duration of internship. There will be a project you work to develop over the course of your internship with your mentor and the team members you work with. The final project presentation will be delivered to the ZEISS leadership team in White Plains at end of the internship and you may share this afterwards as your work product for the internship. In addition to the stipend, all travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Note: this is not a R&D, Engineering, Programming or production internship.

Location/Region: This position can be in one of the following areas; Baltimore/Washington, New York, Boston, Chicago, Texas, Bay Area, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.

Do you qualify:

  • Science or Engineering background; upper-level BS student or MS/PhD candidates.

  • MS Office and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to learn and work hands-on in a laboratory imaging environment.

  • Valid driver's license.

Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with high-end microscopy, including laser scanning microscopy, and imaging techniques beyond simple image capture and manipulation.

  • Familiarity in biological applications and workflow solutions, including image analysis and bioinformatics.

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.25.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
