Job Description and Requirements

Synopsys is hiring a USB PHY IP Product Marketing Manager. The successful candidate is responsible for developing the resources, programs and processes to meet the financial plan for the USB PHY IP product lines. The candidate will oversee the definition of business models, pricing and packaging strategies for the product line, overall product line positioning and creation of internal and external collateral, and will work closely with the field organization, key customers, R&D and partners to identify and drive tactical and strategic business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Business development/customer meetings
  • Definition and promotion of products that will result in sustainable growth within product line responsibilities
  • Creation of strategic and tactical marketing plans
  • Generation of marketing requirements documents
  • Creation of product roadmaps
  • New product rollouts
  • TAM/SAM analyses
  • Sales channel communication and training
  • Demand creation/promotional initiatives
  • Promotion of product lines through participation in industry events such as panels, positioning articles, and seminars
  • Working closely with sales, product marketing, technical marketing, engineering and application engineering teams

Requirements:
  • BS EE with 10+ yrs relevant experience. MS EE (preferred) with 8+ yrs relevant experience. MBA is a positive.
  • Previous product marketing or technical marketing experience, preferably system level, ASIC or system on chip design
  • Experience with USB protocol, mixed signal, and semiconductor chip design
  • Ability to analyze market segments and applications
  • Knowledge of USB usage in different market segments a plus
  • Experience with intellectual property licensing and business models
  • Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with key customers and partners
  • Strong organizational and program management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Experience with strategic market analysis and product planning
  • Demonstrated marketing expertise in product positioning, value proposition articulation and creation of compelling collateral
  • Develop solutions for target markets and applications
  • Track record of creative marketing programs and successfully launching new products
  • Excellent oral/public speaking and written communication skills
  • Energetic, results-driven individual

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $179,000 - $269,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
