Summary:

The Child Mind Institute seeks a Senior Clinical Outreach Specialist who is experienced in sales and relationship management.

The successful candidate will be accountable for driving referral leads for our San Mateo clinic, which opened in November of 2019 and is actively growing awareness within the San Francisco Bay Area (SFBA). This key member of the team will represent Child Mind Institute in the community and partner with the Clinical Director and clinical team to further our reputation, build relationships and drive patient referrals. Candidates should have experience in healthcare, medical or medical practice sales, or the equivalent. The ideal candidate is a people person and sales expert and is equally comfortable collaborating with leadership, clinicians and various referral sources and audiences within the community.

Reporting to the Clinical Marketing Manager in the Marketing and Communications Department, this is an exempt, full-time hybrid position located in our San Mateo, CA office. This position requires flexibility and up to four days in the office or traveling within the SFBA for outreach meetings. The ability to work occasional evening and weekend events is also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for independently establishing, managing and maintaining relationships with referral sources such as mental health providers, school professionals and other medical professionals.
  • Have experience working with data and within CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce) to track outreach, leads and referrals from outreach sources.
  • Independently write communications to key referral sources. Promote clinical practice and outreach to parents, educators and other key audiences. Manage all correspondence including outreach, thank you notes, and coordination of referral presentations (collaborating with clinicians).
  • Be available to represent the organization and our clinical offerings at receptions and events.
  • Enhance and implement training to the clinical team related to referrals, outreach and communication.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and the organization's role within it. Understand how we should best position ourselves and our offerings within the landscape.
  • Manage robust professional development and parent workshop offerings including the development of related marketing materials, presentation skills coaching and financial reporting. Communicate detailed knowledge of mental health professional development and parent workshops to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Marketing and Communications department, support and inform strategy and audience for Clinical Marketing campaigns including digital and email marketing, promotional materials, conference programs, participant handouts, and signage.
  • Influence development and implementation of marketing plans for clinical practice and specific clinical programs, including email and outreach campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in communications, marketing, business or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience in healthcare, medical or medical practice sales, or a related field with demonstrated creativity in referral generation and outreach initiatives.
  • Experience leading planning, organizing, and marketing events.
  • Experience using CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
  • Must be highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and able to juggle multiple tasks and workflow changes, while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Ability to work at events that may occur on evenings and weekends.
  • Self-starter comfortable initiating meetings and conversations

The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range.
