What You'll Be Doing as an Affordable Housing Compliance Manager:

  • Monitor and implement changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and requirements.
  • Independently review and approve move-in files to ensure applicants meet income and program eligibility criteria.
  • Participate in file audits to confirm compliance with program requirements, including rent limits, income limits, and other eligibility and lease requirements.
  • Provide training and support to site staff on compliance-related questions and program regulations.
  • Assist with updating Income and Rent limits for sites as needed.
  • Act as EIV Coordinator and SAVE Administrator.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and computer records in accordance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.
  • Determine financial eligibility for new admissions into affordable programs and process new applicants.
  • Assist with reviewing corrections and correspondence related to 8823's.
  • Develop necessary policies, procedures, and guidelines as needed.
  • Conduct training programs to educate site teams on requirements and responsibilities.
  • Stay updated on current HUD federal regulations related to Affordable Housing programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

  • $85,000 - $92,000 / yearly
  • Annual performance bonus


Qualifications

Who We Are Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of current hands-on experience with Project Based Section 8 HUD, LIHTC, and other CA affordable housing program compliance preferred.
  • Knowledge of HUD 4350.3, EIV, Reasonable Accommodation Requests, LIHTC income limits and rent calculations, Fair Housing, Real Estate Licensing.
  • Community awareness and a determination to make improvements.
  • Proven ability to build trust with members of diverse communities.
  • COS or TCS certification required.
  • Proficiency in technology tools and platforms including Microsoft Office and internal applicant database software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented leader committed to exceeding expectations and providing exceptional service.
  • Strong work ethic, perseverance, and integrity.
