Your Role

Clinical Quality Analytics team is looking for a Clinical Quality Analytics, Senior who has hands on experience on data analysis, research and programming using SAS from various data sources (flat files, relational databases, other SAS datasets etc.) using Base SAS. TheClinical Quality Analytics, Senior will report to the Manager, Clinical Quality Analytics. In this role you will process and analyze data to support Blue Shield of California Clinical Quality goals including HEDIS, MEDICARE STARS, MCAS measures, etc

Your Work

In this role, you will:

• Provide advanced analytical support for business operations involving claims, provider data, membership data and clinical data
• Analyze clinical data and work with internal and external stakeholders supporting Quality Improvement activities
• Maintain ETL data processes supporting HEDIS and other clinical quality reporting efforts
• Conduct independent analysis of high complexity under moderate supervision and guidance, develop analyses and reports
• Develop documentation, create, and execute workplans for analyses of high complexity
• Design, build, and enhance data applications / repositories so to support specific reporting requirements
• Contributes to team success by accomplishing tasks as needed

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires at least 5 years of prior operational and / or data analysis experience, experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools
• MA, MS, in health science, quantitative social science, public health, health services research or business, or BA/BS with demonstrated equivalent work experience
• Requires SAS Certified Base Programmer Credential with 3 years + hands on experience programming in SAS
• Requires experience developing and implementing SAS programs in a production environment, comprehension of SAS macro language, and other SAS procedures, working knowledge of UNIX commands, shell scripts
• Requires at least 3 years of experience in managed Health Care Health Plan or Medical Group setting focused on clinical quality reporting (HEDIS, AMP, STARS)
• Requires superior analytical skills - identify, analyze, research and present findings to business on data issues
• Requires ability to document processes, excellent technical, interpersonal, with excellent written, and oral communication skills
• Requires candidate to be a self-starter motivated to interpret business needs, possesses strong problem-solving skills, as well as technical expertise needed to do hands-on data analysis, research, and programming work
• Experience with EHR systems extracting / analyzing data
• Proficient in MS office applications
• Desired experience in Visual Analytic tools (Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics)

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 96800.00 to $ 145200.00 for California.
