As a Quality Control Inspector based in Morgan Hill, CA you will have responsibility for overseeing processes and conducting quality control inspections. This will be done by using a variety of precision measuring instruments and devices to inspect parts. You will interface with Quality, Production, Operations, and Engineering teams.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Check parts using manual technique inspection.
  • Conduct quality control inspection for:
    • First article Inspection
    • Receiving inspection
    • Incoming inspection
    • In-process inspection
    • Customer inspection request
    • Rework inspection
  • Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functionality, according to blueprints, parts manuals, company or military standards, and other specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
  • Assist non-conforming material process and disposition.
  • Manage quality control department equipment, tools, and instrument calibration.
  • Provide training to associates.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with other departments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Good knowledge of geometric tolerance and dimensioning.
  • Experience in reading blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Mechanical quality control inspection experience.
  • Electro/mechanical Inspection experience.
  • Must work well within teams and across departments.
  • Machine shop experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Works under minimal supervision.

The annual base salary range for this position is $24/hr- $31/hr. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
