Job Description


GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for assisting in the areas of reconciliation, month-end general ledger processing, processing of journal entries, audit work paper preparation, and other related accounting operation activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The job duties listed are essential functions of the position. However, other duties may be assigned, and may also be considered essential functions of the position.

1. Prepare, maintain, and review general ledger activities and journal entries.

2. Work with team members and other departments, as necessary, to ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closing.

3. Compile and analyze accounting information to prepare monthly financial variance analysis reports.

4. Prepare desktop deposit and post cash receipts for our various communities, foundations and corporate office in AR billing system.

5. Support the accounts payable team setting up new vendors in ERP system, mailing weekly manual checks, and scanning invoices to AP mailbox.

6. Research account discrepancies and correct errors via journal entry and/or other administrative processes.

7. Assist with annual audit.

8. Oversee all aspects of the company commercial credit card platform to ensure it is current, reporting any discrepancies to management.

9. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact accounting processes

10. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

o A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as experience in Financial Edge (Blackbaud).
