Responsible for generating sales and building relationships in a defined geographic territory for the full suite of PIMCO products. This individual will manage relationships across a broad set of financial advisors. Must possess superior sales skills, a thorough understanding of PIMCO's products and services as well as an advanced understanding of the financial advisory business

Location

This position is responsible for all intermediary driven sales channels (wirehouse, independent, bank, regional and RIA) in the San Jose/East Bay Area.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to drive sales with our financial advisor clients to achieve and surpass net and gross sales for the territory on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Work with PIMCO management (specifically, Divisional Sales Manager) to formulate, execute and accomplish a territory business plan that adheres to the guiding principles of keeping a long-term perspective and maintaining a consultative sales approach

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of PIMCO's products, platforms, themes, initiatives, markets, strategies, and policies of our partner firms

  • Maintain highest level of compliance with all industry, client firm, and PIMCO standards

  • Develop a travel schedule that maximizes coverage in designated territory to achieve the following all sales and activity metrics

  • Schedule, conduct and follow-up on activities based on agreed upon goals. Activities include, group, one on one, educational seminars and client entertainment

  • Maintain effective client segmentation and a service model that allows for ample contact with top clients and prospects

  • Develop a productive working relationship with product, PM and other specialist colleagues across PIMCO while seeking to deliver the right resource to the right client at the right time

  • Establish and maintain a productive working relationship with key regional COIs across our top partner firms

  • Comply with all travel and expense reimbursement and activity reporting in a timely manner

Support PIMCO Business Objectives

  • Provide feedback to PIMCO management on product demand, sales trends and client satisfaction when called upon.

  • Seek opportunities to contribute to PIMCO beyond the daily remit of your role, strive to be an exceptional colleague

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required

  • Direct experience in San Jose/East Bay market preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years in an external client-facing role

  • CFP, CFA and/or MBA a plus

Skills

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills for group and individual sales presentations

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills required to create meaningful and long-term relationships with financial advisors

  • Thorough knowledge of PIMCO products and ability to present them in a consultative manner based on client needs

  • Excellent partnership skills

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Salary: $ 150,000.00
