What is a Mobile Health Care EMT?

The primary focus of the Mobile Health care EMT's is to respond to non-emergency calls to business clients for on-site first aid treatment and drug specimen collection services, delivering high quality patient care and customer service within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols, and company policies.

About the Program:

The eligible candidate will be hired as an employee and compensated at a training wage. The program is a rigorous ten-week training period which qualifies the employee to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians ("NREMT") - EMT Examination. There is no cost for the class and all books, tuition, fees and uniforms will be paid by AMR Riverside. Upon successful completion of the class, all tests and state certification, the employee will be transferred to an EMT position with an increase to the EMT compensation rate.

Desired candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have proof of a HS diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Have all required immunizations
  • Successfully complete the pre-employment screening which includes motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing and a physical agility test

What happens after passing the course?

After successful completion of the course, the employee will be eligible to take a written and skills test offered by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians ("NREMT") - EMT Examination, register with the Riverside County EMS Agency (REMSA), go through the DMV process for your Ambulance certificate, and will be required to work for AMR Riverside Mobile Healthcare for two years.

Upon receipt of the state EMT-B certification, employees will be assigned their full-time shift and complete new employee training.

Salary Range: $16.00 (This rate applies to 8 hour shift and average 32 per week)
