Job Title: Web Designer (NWS 00638)

North Wind Services is actively seeking individuals who can contribute to national security within the science, technology, and engineering fields as part of our supplemental labor team at vital federal research and development installations supporting the Department of Energy. NWS has an established history of contributing to the success of their customer's mission. Available employment opportunities may range from administrative and logistical support to advanced technical positions.

Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.

Successful candidates will be employees of NWS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance the missions of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, CA. Though employed by NWS, the employee will take day-to-day direction from technical personnel employed directly by the research laboratories. Pay, benefits, Human Resource, and Employment Management functions are provided by NWS.

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Department has an opening for a Procurement Resource Analyst to support a wide variety of projects supporting contracting activities. This role will be primarily responsible for the updating of the SCM External website, to include leading effort for a re-design to improve outward facing communication. In addition, this role will provide support for the transition of the internal SCM website to SharePoint. Other aspects of this role will include partnering with managers, system users, and other customers to improve SCM business process through the identification of business requirements, collaboration with technology teams, and implementation of new tools.

This position may require the successful candidate have the flexibility to work overtime, shift and or weekends to accomplish goals. The successful candidate will be required to pass various on-site training modules to pursue work assignments.

Essential Duties

- Responsible for updating the External SCM Website. Lead efforts to evaluate website for re-design and implement any changes.

-Support the transition of the SCM Internal Website to SharePoint. Make recommendations on content layout, assist with development of framework.

-Develop requirements for process improvements to convert manual processes to more automated processes. Make recommendations on technology options. Implement solutions.

-Make recommendations on best practices for use of technology solutions such as SharePoint, TEAMs, and OneDrive.

-Train users on new processes and technology solutions.

- Perform other duties as required.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

- Associate's degree in General Education, or Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of experience and education related to the essential skills knowledge and abilities below.

- Advanced web design and development skills including but not limited to HTML knowledge.

- Strong SharePoint site design and development skills.

-Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.

-Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

-Experience with analyzing business processes, developing requirements, and recommending solutions-Excellent communicator who can understand and deliver information in a clear, open, and accurate method in both an oral and written manner.

- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Web-based collaborative platforms (Webex and Microsoft TEAMS).

Desired skills:

-Knowledge of Drupal.

-Knowledge of Power BI.

Special Requirements

Pre-Placement Medical Exam: A job related pre-placement medical examination may be required.

Anticipated Clearance Level: P (position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.
