Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team. The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are processed and built in compliance with customer quality requirements and Enovis Quality Manual. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and experience in inspecting and measuring parts using various tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect output samples using appropriate methods like comparing them to standards, measuring their dimensions, and examining their functionality.

  • Ensure that the assembly or production line follows the standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Perform inspections and create reports as needed.

  • Conduct non-destructive examinations and measurements.

  • Assist in training new quality inspectors and assemblers.

  • Collect and organize data for Device History Records.

  • Maintain well-organized quality control files.

  • Recommend improvements in quality procedures and equipment.

  • Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives.

  • Identify and address part quality issues and make decisions based on quality parameters.

  • Act as a reliable resource for employee and team needs.

  • Communicate and collaborate with Quality Engineers on product quality defects, performance, and Quality-related issues.

  • Have a detailed understanding of the Quality Standard Operating Instructions and Quality Visual Standardized Work Instructions.

  • Conduct daily inspection checks at the start, mid, and end of shifts.

  • Propose improvements to the production process.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in a relevant field preferred.

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience in conjunction with an engineering degree, or a minimum of four years of experience in quality control inspection within a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and tools, including non-destructive examination methods.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve part-quality opportunities.

  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to direct and lead quality inspectors.

  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with quality control software and database systems is a plus.

Work environment | Physical demands:

  • Typical warehouse environment, including the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and utilize a pallet jack.

  • Physical Demands: standing, sitting, climbing, crouching/kneeling, lifting, carting, etc.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in training others preferred.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Fosters a positive work environment and encourages collaboration among the team.

  • Basic knowledge and ability to use measuring tools (e.g., magnifiers, screwdrivers, calipers, rulers, etc.) and test equipment.

  • Proficient in the use of computers/office equipment

  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
