Job Responsibilities

Technical Program Manager is responsible for leading engineering programs within the Global Products Engineering group. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating program plans, conducting project/engineering reviews, tracking progress, communicating status, escalating, and closing gaps, monitoring/controlling budget, and supporting a variety of engineering tasks to achieve a number of successful product and feature launches within the context of Lam's Product Development and Release process.

Proven ability in leading, running, overseeing and directing semiconductor equipment engineering programs and projects of varying size from inception to release.

  • Planning and scheduling project goals, milestones, and deliverables
  • Creating strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation
  • Resource allocation and schedule alignment
  • Identifying & solving project issues effectively and expeditiously
  • Managing conflicts and gaps in resources (human, budget, time) across large cross functional teams
  • Present program status updates to executives monthly

Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, or a related technical field, or 5 years in related experience leading in a technical role.
  • Ability to form and develop teams with members from different organizations and geographies. Develop a culture of creativity and accountability in project teams- solve problems in new ways while keeping organizational commitments
  • Ability to lead a team in the use of problem-solving techniques (5 Why Analysis, DMAIC, fishbone) and translate findings into an executable plan. Strong data analysis skills and experience extracting information from data
  • Know when and how to communicate- email, presentation, face to face, collaboration tools- to maintain alignment between team members, project executives and project stakeholders in a dynamic, geographically distributed and culturally diverse organization
  • Ability to lead a team in the process of assessing project risks and developing appropriate mitigation plans
  • Escalate issues while maintaining positive relationships with team members and other organizations
  • Ability to influence peers, internal customers and executives to gain acceptance of program solutions
  • Experience with product release related program management
  • Familiarity with the design release process
  • Change management experience
  • Cross-functional teams leadership experience
  • Ability to operate in a fluid environment and independently drive initiatives

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $98,000.00 - $216,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
