JD degree required along with significant hands-on relevant experience.

Job Duties:

  • Manage privacy and cybersecurity matters. This requires a proactive, strategic, pragmatic and cost-effective approach across a broad range of legal disputes to formulate creative solutions to legal issues.
  • Formulate strategies and manage budgets and outside counsel.
  • Drive risk assessment and compliance matters.
  • Perform compliance work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
  • Provide privacy and data protection related legal advice and regulatory support as a member of Fortinet's global privacy and cybersecurity initiative.
  • Collaborate to set proper processes related to privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Develop and provide training to company and its affiliates on substantive legal topics, with a focus on privacy and cybersecurity matters.
  • Review legal agreements, particularly regarding privacy and cybersecurity matters.
  • Work cooperatively and flexibly with broader legal team on a wide variety of legal tasks.

Job Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience with a top law firm and/or hands-on in-house experience.
  • Data privacy and cybersecurity knowledge and experience required.
  • Flexible for the right fit

Educational Requirement: JD degree required.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $220,000 - $380,000 Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion
