Job Summary:

The Campaign Strategist works in partnership with Sales Teams and enables Sales Teams to maximize their efforts for a successful advertising campaign by focusing on the strategic inventory selection for client proposals, developing plans for RFP responses and quality deliverables, and creating strategies for developing new and deepening existing business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Delivers high-quality, on-time RFP responses that contain the right package and strategy for Sales Teams to sell the best solution that meets clients' needs and increases share of advertising revenue.
  • Understands clients' needs by partnering and collaborating with Sales Teams to determine strategic approach for proposals and determine value proposition.
  • Applies rules and regulations pertaining to inventory selection and campaign timing, such as geographic distribution, revenue and inventory management guidelines, as well as inventory specific attributes.
  • Formulates inventory selection strategy, using inputs such as quality of inventory, appropriate pricing, past client history, and demographic and behavioral targets.
  • Provides guidance on delivering audiences and effectively using Clear Channel Outdoor's market assets and help sales teams 'sell and win the market'.
  • Investigates alternative options for client proposal to upsell market.
  • Utilizes Clear Channel's tools for proposal development, inventory selection and pricing.
  • Assures all proposal data is accurately entered into proposal generating apps and accessible to the internal production team.
  • Responds to Sales Team within prescribed timeframes, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Consults internal resources for intelligence and data outside of internal tools.
  • Tracks, monitors and follows up on RFPs and proposals; coordinates and ensures fulfillment and delivery of proposals; quickly resolves issues when they arise.
  • Shares best practices proactively across Campaign Strategy Team.
  • Provides quality competitive data, market trending, and market knowledge of Clear Channel positioning vs. other companies and media.
  • Completes other duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Media, Marketing, or equivalent field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in a successful sales, advertising or marketing services organization.

Skills

  • Understanding of the market and competitive environment and customer needs and trends.
  • Knowledge of audience delivery and ability to understand and interpret audience metrics.
  • Understanding of multi-market strategy, pricing, and occupancy impacts and how to 'sell and win a market'.
  • Able to analyze data and apply analysis to requests from clients.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills, ability to effectively multitask, prioritize work to meet internal clients' needs.
  • Able to identify cause of issues and work quickly to resolve them.
  • Able to manage own time effectively to meet internal clients' needs.
  • Able to interact effectively and professionally with internal clients.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communications skills in writing and verbally; listens and responds appropriately.

Physical Demands

  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

California Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000
