Description:

a.i. solutions is seeking a driven individual who will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Quality, Safety and Mission Assurance (QS) Directorate providing Quality and Mission Assurance support by participating in multi-disciplinary teams conducting Quality Assurance and mission assurance evaluations, audits and assessments. This position will provide quality technical expertise to Quality and Mission Assurance Management in performing oversight of all lifecycle phases including requirements, design, development, testing and programmatic efforts for the Defense of Guam Quality Division (DoG-Q). The successful candidate will act as an integral part of the team to ensure the goal of delivering quality products and services meet and exceed customer expectations.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The Contractor shall support the implementation of MDA quality and mission assurance requirements by (1) participating in the development and compliance verification of processes used for the design, development, test, and evaluation of mission critical hardware and software and (2) providing technical evaluations of Developer designs for subcomponents, assemblies, and integrated systems associated with MDA programs. In support of QS activities the Contractor shall provide the following functions:
  • Prepare draft documents, briefs, presentations, and actions items responses, which may include information papers.
  • Facilitate meetings. Serve as liaison between MDA organizations and non-MDA communities such as US Army as lead service for Defense of Guam effort, and US Navy staff personnel. Provide situational awareness and status of changes from meetings.
  • Coordinate the integration of quality assurance processes within and between all QS core and all QS matrixed organizations to include Defense of Guam program office.
  • Coordinate meetings and action items across multiple meetings and organizations and working within intense pace of ops tempo. Compile reports and end of week reports.
  • Travel periodically, approximately four to six trips per year. Most trips are 2-4 days each. However, this also includes one or two trips to Guam which will be 10-14 days per trip
  • Position is located at MDA facility on Redstone Arsenal with expectation to work onsite approximately one or two days per week. This may increase in the future as MDA returns to normal operations in the Von Braun Complex. Otherwise telework from home is authorized when not required to be onsite.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 8 or more years related experience in quality or mission assurance field for missile defense systems or DoD weapon systems.
  • Experience with integrating quality assurance and business enterprise processes across all departments and levels within a matrixed aerospace organization.
  • Experience collaborating within small teams representing primarily quality, and mission assurance professional backgrounds.
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active DOD secret security clearance or the ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Ability to travel periodically, approximately four to six trips per year.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and online collaboration tools such as NetMeeting.
  • Experience managing meetings, tracking suspense's across multiple organizations and good organizational skill.
  • Experience successfully communicating complex technical topics, both oral and written.
