Position Overview

The HR Integrations, Expansions & Restructuring Manager is responsible for supporting the HR Integrations, Expansions & Restructuring Director in all HR aspects of diligence and integration of acquired entities, business expansion (such as addition of new site locations), and restructuring (such as relocation or reduction of existing employee populations). The HR Integrations, Expansions & Restructuring Manager will work to ensure a coordinated, strategic, compliant approach that helps achieve the objectives of the business activity while providing an excellent experience for impacted employees.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, supporting the HR Integrations, Expansions & Restructuring Director in the following:

  • Contribute to HR strategy and communications for each diligence, integration, expansion, or restructuring activity.
  • Identify, communicate, and propose solutions for any compliance or business risks for the activity.
  • Manage identification, tracking, and timely and successful completion of all HR tasks for the relevant business activity.
  • Ensure correct stakeholders are brought into work at appropriate times and maintain visibility throughout the project.
  • Communicate to stakeholders in a timely, concise, clear, and action-driven manner to maintain visibility, relationships, and effectiveness of work.
  • Identify, track, and report on measures of success for the relevant activity.
  • Create and enhance templates, checklists, playbooks, and other resources to increase consistency, thoroughness, compliance, and efficiency of diligence, integrations, expansions, and reductions.
  • Continuously seek feedback and identify and implement ways to improve how we perform diligence, integration, expansion, and restructuring activities, including but not limited to creation and delivery of training for relevant HR groups.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and effectiveness through ambiguity and rapid or unexpected change.

  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Work nights and/or weekends as needed.
  • Work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Travel up to approximately 10% of working time to Exact Sciences locations and/or sites of possible acquisitions, integrations, and expansions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, law, business administration, or a field directly relevant to essential duties; or high school diploma/general education degree and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in human resources, law, or other related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 5+ years of in-depth experience with HR diligence, integration, expansion, or restructuring activity.
  • Ability to lead multiple complex, time-sensitive initiatives and deliver high quality, timely results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build close working relationships and establish trust.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of in-depth experience with HR diligence, integration, expansion, or restructuring activity.
  • Experience and/or background in employment and benefits law compliance.
  • Experience with complex integrations or projects involving international and/or California-based acquisitions.

Salary Range:

$109,000.00 - $174,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
