Job Description
The Systems Designer I with DAS and RF Focus will be responsible to produce industry leading DAS and RF system designs, as well as designs from other Low Voltage Disciplines. The Designer will be expected to make validated recommendations and take action to grow the DAS and RF business at Paladin. The Designer will report to the Design Manager.

The Designer will conduct all aspects of their work in accordance with the Paladin Company Values.

Key responsibilities:
  • Coordinates with the Design Manager to build, develop and maintain DAS design and engineering standards, including CAD standards.
  • Works with all Paladin departments and companies to develop designs and bills of materials to assist in the preparation of proposals for DAS projects.
  • Proactively support the DAS installations with engineering and technical expertise
  • Develops, uses, and maintains a detailed DAS project management program.
  • Work with the CAD Department to create a detailed shop/installation drawings for each project, ensuring that instruction to the drafters is clear and thorough
  • Follows Enterprise Department billing standards for the timing, generation, tracking and coordination of invoicing, including managing subcontractor invoices in partnership with Paladin Accounting.
  • Provide support for existing or potential customers with the utmost professionalism at all times, whether representing Paladin in writing (email, text etc), virtually, or in person.
  • Possess and further develop superior communication skills.
  • Develop and expand expertise to include all other Low Voltage Disciplines (Cabling, AV, Security, etc)
  • Perform Project Management of the designers projects. At a minimum this entails proactively creating and managing the schedule of deliverables, and ensuring accurate billings

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of design experience

  • 5+ year of experience in the low voltage or technology industries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competency in various software platforms typical in the design industry, including (but not limited to): AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) MS Teams, MS Projects, etc.

  • RCDD, CTS, PSP or other Low Voltage Design Certifications Highly preferred

In addition to the physical demands and typical work environment for the portion of time the Designer will spend doing office work, the Designer may also spend some time on active jobsites. Therefore the Designer will be expected to understand and comply with Jobsite safety requirements including the use of PPE.
Pay Rate: $48-$55 an hour (DOE)
