As a Field Service Engineer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will have the responsibility for performing on-site installation, repair and calibration of test and measurement equipment and systems. You could also be asked to diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures. Utilizing experience and exercising troubleshooting skills to determine most efficient method(s) for resolution of problems to minimize customer downtime.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Perform installation of single or multi-rack systems, including chambers, comprised of multiple Anritsu equipment at the customer site
  • Perform on-site upgrade, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of Anritsu systems
  • Responsible for scheduling frequent domestic travel with sometimes less than 24 hours' notice and occasionally for extended periods.
  • Ensures that appropriate quality standards are adhered to in the performance of the position
  • Participates in ongoing efforts of process and product improvements
  • Capable of completing special assignments/projects as assigned by management
  • Ability to accommodate 75% or greater in travel required
  • This position will report to the Head of Technical Services in TX

Requirements:

  • Prior calibration/repair experience in the field of test and measurement equipment preferred
  • Prior work with test and measurement systems preferred
  • Strong Metrology knowledge and experience preferred
  • BS/BE degree in computer science/engineering/telecommunications preferred
  • Prior Anritsu product/system experience preferred
  • Prior on-site work experience required
  • Working knowledge of ISO-9000, ISO-17025, ANSI Z540 preferred

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Anritsu Company considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
