With operations in California, Oregon, and Pennsylvania, we manufacture softwood and hardwood lumber, particleboard, and hardboard siding.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise daily, weekly, and other periodic electrical preventative and repair and maintenance for the facility.
  • Lead a safe working environment:
    • train employees in safe equipment operation;
    • motivate employees to lead the operation to superior safety performance;
    • engage in continuing education and improvement to processes and work procedures; and
    • lead safety behavior by example.
  • Supervise the operation of PLCs, HMIs, and network communications to optimize operations.
  • Monitor the operation of electrical equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improving systems.
  • Ensure the work of the electrical team is in accordance with relevant codes.
  • Train, develop, support, and oversee electrical trainees to ensure successful achievement of earning electrical license.
  • Promote team communication between departments.
  • Process employee time and attendance reports.
  • Maintain the working relationship with the bargaining unit by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
  • On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, and manage the electrical team.
    • Responsible for performance management of direct reports in accordance with company values, objectives, and policies.
    • Provide mentoring, coaching, training, and support consistent with developing and sustaining a high-performing and accountable team.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively lead a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills; ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365.
  • Provide basic tools to perform routine electrical activities.

Education and Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience working as an industrial electrician or be a licensed electrician from states that provide licensing preferred.
  • Have a basic understanding of industrial electrical safety, MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of high voltage, a powerhouse facility, and power sales.

Environmental Conditions:

May be exposed to dust, noise, trip hazards, and variable temperatures and weather conditions.

Required Personal Protective Equipment:

Individuals must be willing to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Positions may require additional PPE at specific times. Examples of PPE which may be required include high visibility garments, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, a hard hat, foot protection, and a face shield.

Salary $80,000 to $100,000 annually
