JOB DESCRIPTION

Title:?Process Technician

Position: Full Time / Non-Exempt

Location:?Riverside, CA

Manager:

Reports to: Production Manager

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Start-up, shutdown, monitor and troubleshoot production jobs according to set procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assures part quality, cycle yields, and efficiencies are to standard and arc monitored.

  • Assures Quality Assurance Manufacturing Plan guidelines are set, followed and maintained.

  • Set molds, troubleshoot and assure proper mold maintenance is followed.

  • Completes documentation such as reports, forms, checklists, NMR's and CAR'S.

  • Assists in training of production personnel.

  • Maintains good housekeeping procedures in assigned areas.

  • Performs supervisory duties if necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years' experience in injection molding.

  • Possesses the technical knowledge necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities of job.

  • Basic computer skills, and knowledge of production monitoring and MRP systems.

  • Ability to resolve complex problems and manage multiple tasks furnished in written and oral form

  • Knowledge of injection molding presses, injection molds, thermoplastics, and support equipment.

  • Basic understanding of SPC's and SQC'S.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The employee must meet the physical demands needed to perform the duties of the written procedures.

  • Moving heavy molds and auxiliary equipment (>55 lbs.).

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is usually in an office within a manufacturing facility with low to moderate noise level. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
