What You'll Do

As the Emulsion Plant Manager, you will lead daily operations for manufacturing of bulk and bagged explosives. You will be responsible for managing the site operations as established in procedures and guidelines set by the company in the areas that include safety, people, equipment, goods and material, environmental protection, cost performance, asset maintenance and utilization. Other duties include:

  • Accountable for operational excellence through focused management and measurable performance metrics.
  • Production planning, quality control and managing inventory of raw material inputs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSEQ Performance Standards, and site security program.
  • Proactively work to achieve compliance with safety systems and ensure a safe workplace.
  • Actively audits on-site safety in compliance to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs Critical Control Verifications (CCV) and Safety System Shut Down (SSS) checks.
  • Manages work schedules and provides oversight and training to manufacturing team.
  • Manages to ensure strict compliance to work instruction, SOP's and safety policies.
  • Observes staff to ensure competency and progression to proficiency.
  • Maximize production by manhour and minimize off spec product, scrap, and waste.
  • Responsive in the event of a safety related incident, and/or investigation, and implements corrective action with urgency. Participates fully in any investigation.
  • Prepare and submit proper paperwork to document expenses, safety statistics, payroll hours and information and all others as required by policy or practice.
  • Ensures accuracy of all records and reporting.
  • Leads and schedules maintenance of site facilities.
  • Manages third party vendors and service providers.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years Supervisory Experience
  • 3+ years managing in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting or a background in chemical processing.
  • Hazardous materials or food processing experience.
  • Background in a role related to quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of applicable compliance requirements of OSHA, ATF, DOT/HAZMAT, EPA and other local agencies.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.

Salary: $75,000-85,000 DOE
