Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculations, and distribution of paychecks or electronic transfers.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contractors.
* Oversee payroll tax compliance and filings, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
* Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
* Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify payroll discrepancies or errors.
* Stay updated on relevant tax and labor laws to ensure compliance in all payroll activities.
* Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management review.
* Lead, train, and mentor payroll team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements:
* years of experience in payroll management or a related role.
* Thorough understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax codes.
* Proficient in using payroll software and related tools (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
