Sr. Medical Device Technician-Sterilization & Cleansing (50%+ Regional Travel)

Overview: As a Sr. Medical Device Technician for washing & sterilization products, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on, on-ground services across the region, emphasizing the organization's mission of nurturing and expanding superior professional relationships within the medical device sector. This role is pivotal in solidifying the organization's market footprint and establishing a reputation of unparalleled trustworthiness and efficiency in medical equipment maintenance and support. The position works closely with a comprehensive technical support team, which includes field specialists, managerial staff, and operational personnel, ensuring productive collaboration with our overseas production units situated in European regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in extensive travels to foster relations with fellow medical device technicians, clientele, sales representatives, and to overseas production units when required.
  • Integrate efforts with a dispersed service unit spread throughout the continent focusing on medical devices.
  • Exhibit superior communication abilities (both in terms of articulation and documentation) and collaborate effectively with project leads, sales teams, global counterparts, and clients.
  • Document medical device discrepancies for manufacturing feedback, emphasizing the link between issue, origin, and resolution.
  • Key areas of emphasis include:
    • Efficient resource allocation and time management for service projects and tasks.
    • Supervising medical device installations, modifications, and client training.
    • Inventory management: Determining range, nature, count, pricing, and dispatch timelines for medical device parts.
    • Steering maintenance initiatives: Conceptualizing, contractual undertakings, and execution related to medical devices.
  • Mentor and guide external service support entities specializing in medical devices.
  • Update and refine medical device service & training resources, and conduct field training sessions for clients and service providers.
  • Align installation schedules and resources in coordination with the project strategy team.
  • Uphold superior quality in all departmental tasks ensuring medical device client needs are aptly met.
  • Strategically collaborate with the top-tier management to enhance the organization's position in the medical device marketplace.
  • Join forces with inventory teams to suggest stock levels for medical device parts.

Necessary Skills & Expertise:

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge: prior experience with Thermal Sterilization & Industrial Cleansing processes in medical devices is a distinct advantage.
  • Electro-technical acumen, especially in relation to medical devices, encompassing fluid dynamics, electrical components, climate control, and PLC diagnostic capabilities.
  • Rigorous organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient communication skills (oral & written), familiarity with MS tools, and a keen sense for exemplary client interaction in the medical device realm.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Medical Device Technician.
  • Candidates must currently be residing in California.
  • Willingness to undertake 50%+ regional travel.

Salary:

  • $60,000 - $70,000 per year, plus benefits.
