Job description

Dexian has an immediate opportunity available for a well-rounded Desktop Technician to provide support for the full range of Information Technology (IT) operations services to the Vandenberg Space Force Base location of our premier aerospace customer. The Desktop Technician will initially assist an employee currently providing these services and then replace the employee as they transition to a new role. A 90 day transition period is expected, with training provided by current employee on location.

The Desktop Technician will provide:

  • End user Computing Break/Fix and Deployment Services for all end user devices, hardware, and software. End user devices include but are not limited to desktops, laptops, monitors, displays, printers, SecurIDs, desk VoIP phones, smart phones and any associated cables or accessories.
  • Hands on support for printer configurations, troubleshooting and coordinate with the print services vendor for these activities.
  • Basic to intermediate level hands on infrastructure and networking support to include pulling cable/patching to racking servers/switches/UPS's and Back up and Disaster Recovery operations; Server and Citrix access; and interacting with Base staff and ticketing system to record and track infrastructure related tickets.
  • Hands on AV/VTC support when needed as well as assist core services group with the installation/upgrade/maintenance of same equipment.
  • Equipment relocation services for all equipment types listed above as needed.
  • Laisse with enterprise IT teams on project needs from Base location or roll out of new IT services and enhancements.

This position requires an active Department of Defense Security clearance at the SECRET level or ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
U.S. Citizens ONLY are eligible for security clearance and this position.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate degree in technology related course of study or higher, required.
  • IAT Level II certification to include Security + or other acceptable certification.

COMPENSATION:

  • Dexian reasonably expects to offer $32.01 / hour to $37.66 / hour for this position based on skills and experience. Additional benefits include health, vision and dental insurance, matching 401k, and generous time off.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Submit/Pass a 10-year background check, criminal history, drug screening, and fingerprints.
  • Valid driver's license/Real-ID with clean driver's history.
  • Applicant must have a strong work ethic, be extremely organized and detail-oriented, be a self-starter with excellent time-management, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Position may require ability to stand, walk extended distances, bend, stoop, squat, and lift to 35 lbs. from the floor to desktop for extended periods of time.
