Midnight Oil (moagency.com), strategically located in "the heart of Hollywood" in Burbank, CA, is a creative, and specialty print production partner to the majority of theatrical and streaming studios, with relationships often measured in terms of decades, not years. We uniquely and conveniently combine our Studio and Print Production capabilities all under one roof in our 120,000 square feet facility, with an Amtrak stop and the Burbank Airport directly across the street. Position Summary: The Lead Press Operator will prepare, operate, and maintain the printer as efficient as possible.

Work Location: Onsite in Burbank, CA. This is a second shift position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact when GF Manager is not available
  • Give guidance to the GF production team in the absence of the GF Manager
  • Interact with the Grand Format press schedule and ticket accordingly
  • Interact with Grand Format clients in a professional manner
  • Produce quality print in the most efficient manner
  • Follow Grand Format procedures for charging time & material
  • Perform needed maintenance on the presses
  • Presses and Grand Format production areas need to be maintained in a clean and professional manner
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of Grand Format printers
  • 2 years of professional experience in the field
  • Basic computer skills

  • Exceptional coordination and multi-tasking skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
  • Frequent walking and standing.

The national pay range for this role is $30.00 to $35.00/hourly. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
