Technology & Digital Senior Data Scientist I
Who You'll Work With
You will become a lead Data Scientist for the VG AI Squad, part of the overall Lilli team - the firm's GenAI version of ChatGPT powered by our own data sources.
You will learn what it's like to build a GenAI product into something that will have firm wide impact. You'll work in a cross functional team with a number of data scientists, engineers, designers, product managers on a top priority initiative, the VG AI squad.
VG AI is revolutionizing the way presentations are created and edited at the firm. Using cutting-edge technology, we will transform the way we communicate and present ideas, enabling firm members to deliver impactful and visually stunning presentations effortlessly.
What You'll Do
You'll lead data science development by harnessing the power of generative AI, develop an advanced system that can build and edit PowerPoint presentations with unparalleled efficiency and accuracy.
You will become a strategic data science thought leader, guiding stakeholder discussions to transition our product from a proof of concept to a tool actively utilized by our consultants.
You'll work hands-on with the latest multimodal LLMs, you'll conduct independent experiments and craft comprehensive development strategies for the data science team. You'll design, develop, and implement pipelines that leverage generative models (such as GPT4) for automating design processes, enhancing creativity, and generating content. This includes model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and iteration.
Qualifications
  • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of NLP, Transformers, LLMs, and Generative AI
  • Required experience with OpenAI's GPT suite, including previous experience and deep understanding of their multimodal LLM: GPT4Vision
  • Practical experience with E2E slide design automations using GenAI technologies and multi functions agents
  • Practical experience with contextual slide automations using GPT4V or other multimoda GenAI tools
  • Experience with conversational agents for slide design choices; objects search and allocation, contextual re-formatting
  • Experience with ppt automations, including slide-parsing, re-formatting, layout recommendations and object manipulation with libraries such as python-pptx or direct binary/XML files manipulation with Python
  • Experience with McKinsey's ppt design toolkit automations (e.g., MarvinTables / Think-Cell) and their integration within PowerPoint and/or Python utilizing GenAI technologies and multi functions agents
  • Experience with GenAI relevant libraries/technologies: LangChain, OpenAI API, Azure, etc, and their latest features, such as Agents, Function Calling and JSON Mode to convert natural language into API calls or perform Name Entity Recognition
  • Practical experience and understanding of how LLMs can be leveraged to build classification models, re-rankers, and recommendation systems
  • Understanding of Semantic Search, specifically with Transformers, and familiarity with the relevant Python Libraries (e.g., SentenceTransformers, BERT)
  • Strong programming skills: well-versed with building end-to-end data models and pipelines in
  • Python according to the best engineering practices
  • Experience owning and managing a Git repository - maintaining effective version control with organized & clean branching strategies
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple product teams and profiles - data scientists, software engineers, tech leads, product managers, designers - to drive work forward
  • Strong problem-solving skills - able to bring perspective, lead PS topics, work collaboratively towards an outcome
  • Strong communication skills - ability to present in front of large audiences and senior stakeholders, holds their ground, opinionated, not afraid to speak up at any level
  • Experience with product development and working in software engineering / Agile teams
