The anticipated salary range for this role is between $68,000.00and $108,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cash Management Assistant Manager is responsible for providing both oversight and hands-on support of the Cash Management Operations (CMO) department by:

  • Assisting the CMOdepartment manager in the administration and supervision of the Cash Management Operations staff and daily tasks.
  • Meeting and exceeding business objectives ensuring consistent achievement of all financial and operational KPIs.
  • Required to manage (in partnership with the wider team) multiple product lines to deliver customer expectations.
  • Manage, inspire, and motivate staff to ensure operational excellence, high employee engagement and efficiency improvement is achieved.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Responsible for the delivery of the overall operational metrics within Cash Management Operations.
  • To proactively maintain regular communications with management.
  • In depth Cash Management Product knowledge.
  • Assist staff with customer issues; work with the manager to ensure any issues are resolved.
  • Strengthen departmental controls.
  • Phone call monitoring review to ensure customer service excellence.
  • Ensure delivery of company's Operations KPIs.
  • Performs routine audits and assists with balancing of assigned GL reconcilements.
  • Supervises staff directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal and work allocation.
  • Selecting, effectively managing and coaching team members.
  • Ability to demonstrate achievement of results e.g. business improvements, cost savings, revenue generation.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Lead complex Cash Management set up implementations.
  • Staff & client Cash Management product training
  • Provides operational support and acts as a resource for staff regarding policies and procedures.
  • May act in the capacity of the Manager in his or her absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Proven work experience as a supervisor or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Proven ability to quickly understand complex operational processes
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
