A large manufacturing company in East LA is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible as acting as the lead in all cost and inventory-related accounting activities. To be successful in this role, the Senior Cost Accountant should have strong communication and presentation skills, in addition to familiarity with using accounting software and ERP systems. What do you need for this Senior Cost Accountant role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Must have experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or inventory related industries
  • Strong in US GAAP
  • Advanced Excel

  • Create cost accounting policies and procedures
  • Develop cost estimates
  • Analyze data to look for cost-savings opportunities
  • Review changes in design, methods, services, and raw materials that could affect costs
  • Maintain compliance by conducting routine audits

  • Review manufacturing costs
  • Standard to actuals cost reporting
  • Cost and inventory month-end reporting
