How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Working cross-functionally across the business, the Strategic Sourcing Manager leads the supply chain strategy development and emerging products supply chain initiation efforts therefore serving the entire product's life cycle needs working with procurement, product management, technical marketing, safety, quality and chemists. He/she utilizes existing suppliers and develops new suppliers in the context of expertise needs, volume needs, quality needs, BCP and price.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Identify and build a global network of potential suppliers for required raw
materials and document expertise and capabilities
* Assess and co-develop potential suppliers to provide the needed quality, price
(including "should" cost approach), and capacity via commercial and technical
assessment of the supplier's operations
* Coordinate with Planning to align purchases to meet production plans during
development stages
* Transfer developed supply chains to planning and procurement
* Coordinate with procurement to establish supply and partnership agreements for selected suppliers
* Lead strategic sourcing communications to internal customers
* Assist with contract start up functions with appropriate department managers
* Facilitate periodic business reviews with key suppliers and facilitate action items
that result from the meetings
* Develop and maintain pricing databases
* Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price,
availability, and delivery schedule ( includes demonstrated ability to expedite
purchases when required) during development stages
* Conduct vendor audits including written reports to be issued to cross functional
team
* Interface with all departments and resolves problems and issues with required
purchased items.
* Coordinate with Quality raw material vendor performance in accordance with ISO standards

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific field
* 5 years of relevant experience in production, R&D, supply chain or technical role in a chemicals operation
* General understanding of Finance and Cost of Ownership
* General understanding of law governing supply agreements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated influencing skills to work cross functionally in a matrix environment

* Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft and/or Google suites Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability
* Ability to travel 20% to visit vendors and operating sites

Preferred Qualifications
* 3 years of procurement experience
* Experience in or supporting the electronics industry
* Experience in organometallic and/or silicon chemistry
* Experience with supplier quality management systems
* ERP system experience
