How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Located in Fremont, CA

This position will have the responsibility to manage several products (ALD/CVD precursors and etch gases) in high volume manufacturing at ALAM.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The development of global product strategy with primary focus on meeting customer needs for business growth and profitability

  • Guiding and leading cross-functional teams to execute the product strategy and achieve goals.

  • Managing the life cycle of products including capacity increase or rationalization

  • Ensuring the day-to-day supply of high quality consistent product to customers.

  • Developing cost and profitability roadmaps for key products. Providing product pricing guidance to commercial teams.

  • Working with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Sales to develop strategies to increase market penetration/ market share

  • Identifying and specifying supply chain options. Working with procurement, suppliers and quality to ensure stable supply of critical raw materials for product(s)

  • Managing P&L for product(s), demonstrating product or product family performance throughout its lifecycle.

  • Leading Continuous Improvement Teams to identify opportunities to improve profitability of products through alternative sourcing, operational improvements, alternative packaging, capital investments, etc.

  • Developing necessary documents to secure investment for recommended capital projects and strategic initiatives to support necessary enhancements including capacity growth inclusive of financial modeling to justify commercial proposals & capital investments

  • Establishing and maintaining awareness and understanding of customer and market needs and competitive positioning.

  • Coordinating internal product communication and information across product family or product line.

  • Directing and partnering with other functional areas to support business objectives

  • Ensuring the resolution of all complaints and implementation of corrective actions to prevent re-occurence.

  • Manages change horizon and qualification schedule with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales and Air Liquide's affiliates

  • Audits suppliers and promotes best practices with Quality & Supply Chain teams

  • Ensuring the implementation of best practices, meeting goals and execution of projects

  • Successfully complete all assigned trainings

  • Advanced Degree in engineering or chemistry

  • 5+ years of industry experience with a minimum of two years experience in the semiconductor industry in Product management, technical sales or marketing.

  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Project management experience

  • Strong background in financial modeling and product costing

  • Good understanding of the semiconductor industry culture and pace.

  • Ability to quickly and effectively assess, evaluate, and communicate market opportunities, competitive issues, and business performance.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate across organizational and cultural boundaries.

  • Excellent internal and external ambassador for Products and Programs.

  • Ability to effectively motivate, facilitate, and direct the activities of individuals and project teams.

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Excellent organizational and resource management skills.

  • Ability to travel regionally (3-4 times per year) and internationally (2 times per year).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years' experience working in product management, marketing, or technical sales at a semiconductor materials supplier

  • Experience with or understanding of thin film processes (semiconductor, flat panel display, solar) and/or ALD/CVD process knowledge.

  • Familiarity with semiconductor quality and operational practices, including lean manufacturing, six sigma etc.

  • Experience working with manufacturing sites and suppliers outside of the US

  • Experience with databases and MRP/ERP systems

  • Japanese. Chinese and/or Korean language speaking skills.

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $139,000 - $174,200. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Air Liquide considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
