Willdan Financial Services (WFS), is seeking a Financial Analyst for the Temecula, CA office. WFS is a growing national consulting firm that provides financial and economic consulting services to cities and other local governments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst will primarily work with senior staff on cost allocation plans and user fee studies.

  • Responsible for gathering and validating data into Excel models, calculating results, and incorporating results into reports.
  • Duties may include spreadsheet analyses, financial model preparation and updates, and preparation of reports and PowerPoint presentations.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing, or Public Administrations, and 2 years of relevant work experience (preferably in a government agency or government consulting firm, or equivalent of education and experience.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with utility or local public government industry clients is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, have strong analytical skills, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and work independently on a variety of on-going projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and web-based information sources. In Particular, required proficiency in developing and understanding complex spreadsheet models in Excel.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Superior information management, time management, and communication skills.
