What we need:
The Visual Workplace Safety Application Engineer supports and recommends comprehensive portfolio solutions and integrated programs for client sites. The Applications Engineer will conduct on-site visual safety audits to create product and product placement recommendations to clients in order to meet best practice and regulatory standards. This position will work closely with Product Management, Safety Services, and Sales teams for the purpose of maximizing sales & profitability under the supervision of the Senior Global Product Manager for Visual Workplace Safety.

What you'll be doing:

  • Gather business and application requirements from the customer, including forward interaction and promotion of Brady products.
  • Have a complete understanding of Brady Visual Workplace Safety products in order to become the customer's trusted advisor.
  • Work directly with clients to understand the specifics of their sites and audits the location(s) to recommend Brady Visual Workplace Safety solutions in support of regulatory or best practice site implementation.
  • Create a comprehensive Brady product list to be shared with internal quoting teams for the purposes of sharing with the end-user by their preferred means.
  • Work hand in hand with the Safety Services team, third party contractors, Sales and customers to develop Scope of Work, Project Plan, and solution delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify potential product gaps and identify market trends for product improvements or developments in order to position Brady as the continued leader in Visual Safety solutions.
  • Gather knowledge about the competitive environment that drives action to Sales, Marketing and R&D.
  • Works with Sales, Safety Services, and Product Management to initialize or support business at the customer.
  • Lead internal stakeholder meetings to articulate our existing customer pain points and what product development initiatives that would drive better user adoption and expansion.
  • Ability to work as a technical problem solver.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Engineering or EH&S).
  • 2-5 years of experience working with Visual Workplace offerings related to pipe markers, floor markers, equipment labeling, and/or signage.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Personal and professional accountability.
  • Self-directed and able to solve field problems with no supervision.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and prioritization.
  • Ability to interact with both external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Up to 50% - 70% domestic travel; overnight and on-site field work required.
