As a Home Loan Center Inside Loan Officer you will originate real estate loans for branch customers in areas not currently covered by Loan Officers.
In this role you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Responsible for the origination of standard residential type mortgage loans via telephone and internet with customers referred by identified branches of the Bank.
  • Responsible for originating residential mortgage loans for employees of the Bank.
  • Responsible for originating loans in compliance with the Bank's underwriting guidelines and those published by the Bank's investors. Ensure strict compliance with regulator requirements for residential loan origination.
  • Responsible for setting up originated loans in the Bank's system and ensuring processing through submission for underwriting.
  • Responsible for attending internal training sessions, internal sales meetings, and external training opportunities.
  • Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science or other related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • NMLS registration required
Experience
  • 4 or more years of experience in mortgage loan origination required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proven pattern of success in consistent origination, closing, and funding of mortgage loans.
  • Knowledge of mortgage procedures, regulations, underwriting, and loan processes and procedures.
  • Possess effective presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the residential mortgage lending process for 1 to 4 family dwellings.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to mortgage loan origination.
Travel
  • Up to 20%
