How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Industrial Packaged Systems Development Manager supports implementation of industrial skids and vendor packaged systems for manufacturing growth. Under the supervision of the Director of Process Development, this position works collaboratively with vendors and internal ALAM customers on package specification and design requirements. This role's key focus is validating the package design incorporates improvements from early development systems and operations learnings, and standardizes the design implementation across product lines. They contribute to the strategic and efficient growth as products transition to larger scale operations and act as a Design Authority in a global capacity. This person should be able to be hands on with mechanical and chemical processing experience, and have a strong technical knowledge on precursor processing, design of systems for handling air- and moisture- sensitive solids, liquids, and gases, and be effective at working across functional groups to ensure safe and reliable equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design Authority for Packaged Systems - Assess technical specifications and requirements for systems transitioning from development to production operations.

  • Ensure implemented systems and skids from packaged equipment vendors incorporate consistent standards and requirements across product lines and projects

  • Set strategy on packaged systems technology for systems after beta-model validation.

  • Ensure consistent application of technical requirements with vendors on production system modules

  • Lead cross functional teams where process scaling is dependent on modular unit capacity

  • Effective and independent communication and alignment with stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Lead PHAs, RCAs

  • Contributes to the safety assessments and operability design discussions

  • Successfully completes all assigned trainings

  • Documents and communicates technical updates to appropriate stakeholders

  • Mentor and manage team including Process Specialists and Process Development Project Engineering Managers and project engineers focused on packaged systems design and implementation

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters in Chemical Engineering or related field or least 9 years demonstrated capability of project management of processes for manufacturing semiconductor precursors

  • Subject Matter Expertise and TCL Local Level 2 status (or equivalent expertise)

  • Relevant experience in the manufacturing of hazardous chemicals

  • Technical expertise in skid specification, process design, and installation of vendor fabricated equipment (distillation systems, gas cabinets, wash systems, ovens, filling stations, etc)

  • Demonstrated safety mindset

  • Expertise in solids handling technology

  • Expertise in solids precursor processing


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in glovebox operations and design requirements for hazardous chemicals

  • Experience in sublimation and oven process design

  • Experience with air- and moisture- sensitive molecule processing

  • Knowledge of construction and regulatory permitting procedures

  • Effective communication to technology stakeholders on status and results
