The Loan Assistant is responsible for assisting the Portfolio Managers and Credit Managers with various loan administration tasks including tickler administration, customer/borrower inquiries, loan origination administration, and other loan portfolio administration duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works closely with Credit Analyst and Portfolio Manager to ensure financial packages are complete.
  • Sends out tickler letters as requested by the Portfolio Manager or Credit Analyst.
  • Performs call back function on established provisionally received ticklers for loan originations and modifications.
  • Periodic updating of tickler and covenant notes as requested by the Portfolio Manager.
  • Dispositions tickler and covenant items as appropriate and as requested by Portfolio Manager.
  • Provides general assistance to the Credit Analyst, Portfolio manager and Credit Manager.
  • Assists borrowers with payoffs, line of credit advances and loan draw requests.
  • Responds to general customer inquiries regarding loan statements, document copies, loan balances, etc.
  • Uploads various documents and other financial information as received by borrowers.
  • Assists with management of the imaged file and various periodic file management projects.
  • Assists Portfolio Manager and Credit Manager with re-indexing files as necessary.
  • Reviews borrower imaged file to ensure current insurance certificate and related information have been properly and timely uploaded.
  • Works closely with the Portfolio Manager in the initial preparation of Letters of Interest and Letters of Approval.
  • Assists the Portfolio Manager with the setup of the electronic working file and the uploading of periodic information received by the customer.
  • With respect to loan reviews; orders site inspections, Westlaw Reports, credit reports, UCC searches and various other information on an as needed basis.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as requested by the Credit Manager, Portfolio Manager or Credit Analyst.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year experience in lending administration environment, banking or financial institution preferred.
  • Knowledge of CASH Suites, Sales Force and FIS Horizon preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial lending terminology preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), lending software applications and platform preferred.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary or pay for this position is $16.51 to $24.76. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. A discretionary bonus and/or business line incentive may be provided, in addition to a medical and other benefits, dependent on the position.
