As the Scheduling Coordinator for Cross-Sectional and Vascular Interventional Radiology, responsibilities include scheduling appointments, providing financial counseling, and managing patient communication. Leading a scheduling team, ensuring equipment and procedure room availability, and participating in affinity meetings are key components of the role. As our Administrative Assistant III, he position aims to optimize patient care through efficient scheduling and coordination within the Radiology department.

Salary Range: $28.23 - $40.44 Hourly

Qualifications

  • * Strong working knowledge of personal computers, HIS and RIS systems
  • * Medical terminology to a level permitting accurate preparation of scheduling patient procedures, interacting with physicians, patients and staff
  • * Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • * Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with staff, faculty, fellows, residents and patients
  • * Familiarity in gathering of data and data analysis to assist in budget preparation and financial analysis as it relates to the CVIR section
  • * Ability to establish comfortable relationships with patients and their family
  • * Demonstrated experience with work processing, spreadsheet and database programs, statistical programs including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite-Word, Excel, Access
  • * Ability to handle confidentiality issues with tact and diplomacy
