Job Description

Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Facilities Manager to join our team. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This role will be working on-site at our Roseville Executive Office location.

This position will be responsible for administering the maintenance, repairs, renovations, vendor relationships, and property management for a portfolio of branches and banking centers in an assigned geography. Directly manages or assists the Director of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities with various facility-related projects including office remodels, office closures, office relocations, and staff moves. Works closely with approved vendors and contractors on construction projects.

What you will do:

  • Oversees bank facilities, conducts regular facilities preventive maintenance & safety inspections.

  • Manages vendor relationships including communicates, schedules, and provides direction to vendors with job specifications related to bank facilities.

  • Manages or supports management of projects such as office remodels, moves, closures, new facilities, and other bank facility projects as assigned and may perform minor repairs.

  • Performs periodic site inspections and updates Facilities vendor records, validates costs, and verifies and approves invoices.

  • Acts as primary liaison between vendors, bank staff, and management on issues related to facilities.

  • Obtains competitive bids for services and inspects and validates quality of work performed.

  • Oversees vendor service agreements and proposals.

  • Coordinates opening/closing of bank facility utilities.

  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including but not limited to lease administration, invoice validation, floor and seating plans reconfiguration.

  • Job responsibilities may require after-hour duties and requires travel about 50% of the normal workweek.

  • Supports Disaster Recovery planning and preparation.

  • Assists with bank sponsored special initiatives as assigned.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience or High School Diploma/GED.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities, property management or building operations required.

  • Proficient with MS Office and Internet.

  • Possess excellent human relations, communications and business writing skills.

  • Possess effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Able to cope with pressure resulting from meeting required deadlines and reporting requirements.

  • Demonstrate teamwork in facilitating workflow. High level of cooperation with others and responsive to the Bank's needs.

  • Exemplary motivation, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

  • High level of accuracy and great attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to make and support sound decisions.

  • Consistently demonstrate tact, discretion and good judgment.

  • Exhibit high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive information.

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

  • Able to work effectively without direct supervision.

  • Able to comprehend and interpret Bank policies and procedures.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
