Your Team, Your Impact

This is role for Customer Solutions Group / Application Engineering team (Switching BU)

What You Can Expect

  • Work on Marvell's leading edge Cloud/Datacenter (Teralynx family) and Enterprise (Prestera family) switches

  • Support customers for Pre and Post Design Wins; complete life cycle from Presentations, System Evaluation to SDK integration and deployment.

  • Support of new potential projects: Involve in PoCs, Demos and help the customer solve their HW and SW technical problems.

  • Rack up and bring up switches in lab with SONiC or Linux and run Marvell SDK.

  • Help in Documentation of Features, SDK-APIs, publish technical white papers & Application notes as needed for platforms using Marvell Switch Devices.

  • Support active engineering designs/development at customers.

  • Help with resolving customer cases, lab debug and in-field debug, reproduce customer issues in-house, work with Engineering to resolve.

  • Work closely with Engineering as an escalation point to help with customer platform bring up, debug, fault isolation and HW support.

  • Hands-on: able to write code in C/Python if needed to test specific features and assist in validating bug fixes and SDK Releases.

  • Work closely with customer to integrate Marvell SDK in the customer NOS, troubleshoot issue seen during integration and atProduction/Deployment.

  • Regular interface with Marketing Senior, Architects and Principal staff engineers to provide relevant customer feedback for Customer future product requirements and solutions.

  • Represent Marvell at some of the key industry conferences - OCP, OFC, ONE Summit etc.

Experience in these areas are a big plus:

  • Knowledge of SAI , SONiC.

  • Prior Knowledge of Internals of Networking ASIC.

  • Knowledge of PHY/MAC, Serdes

  • Knowledge of Bootloader uBoot/ONIE

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience.

  • Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Be able to present and clearly articulate solutions to customers.
    Previous experience of working as an Application Engineer or any equivalent Customer interacting role (i.e. ability to handle customers) is a must.

  • Good knowledge and in-depth understanding of Networking concepts - Layer 2, Layer 3, ACLs, Tunnels, Mirroring, QoS etc. Working knowledge of enterprise/datacenter switch is desirable.

  • Prior experience in NOS development, SDK Development or QA to quickly understand SDK implementation and debug.

  • Programming in C, Python and Debugging using gdb, pdb etc.

  • Familiarity with build tools, Linux environment

  • Experience developing/supportingplatform architectures around switch silicon is highly desirable.

  • Ability to handle Equipment in lab: Switches / Routers, Servers (Windows / Linux), Traffic generators (Ixia/Spirent/Xena)

  • Must have effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrates good in-depth analysis of issues, debug and problem-solving skills.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

137,510 - 206,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
