Scope of Job: The SCADA Engineer II is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and a member of EPC project teams. The SCADA Engineer II is responsible for leading and developing engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, installation, configuration, testing, operation, and maintenance of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and industrial control system (ICS) equipment or operational technology (OT) infrastructure deployed as part of electrical power systems.
Where such systems are used for monitoring plant equipment and production, manifesting control of electrical outputs, interfacing with external systems, supporting system protections and otherwise enabling remote or automated operations, the SCADA Engineer II is responsible for ensuring the design, configuration, and verification of functional SCADA/ICS systems and infrastructure for EPC projects in the context of distribution or utility scale renewable energy resources-especially photovoltaic plants and bulk energy storage systems (BESS). This position will travel to EPC job sites.
Location: This position will be based in either our Columbia, MD or West Lebanon, NH office with hybrid flexibility.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift 50 pounds on occasion. Weather conditions and terrain will vary depending on geographical location of project site. Occasional travel to project sites is required.
Working Conditions: Approximately 80% of time is spent in the Company office or home office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. Approximately 20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting EPC project and supplier sites in additional to attending conferences and meetings.
