$148,935.00 (minimum) - $225,638.00 (maximum)
Initial salary offer will be between $148.935.00/annually - $202,550.89/annually (commensurate with experience and education)

Current Assignment
This requisition is advertised to fill one (1) Superintendent of Systems Maintenance in the Train Control Division.
The Superintendent of Systems Maintenance, Train Control, will be responsible for directly managing the activities of a complex multidiscipline maintenance organization. The selected candidate must demonstrate broad practical experience and skills in supporting maintenance and asset life cycle management programs in a complex safety sensitive operational environment. The position requires a sound managerial background with skills in program and project administration, budget, union labor management, staff development, leadership, and organizational change management.
The candidate selected will demonstrate strong management skills, communication skills, technical skills in the operation of complex and safety sensitive electronic systems including train control signaling and SCADA. The successful candidate will also be familiar with and ensure compliance with maintenance, safety and regulatory standards. Knowledge of train control signaling systems is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the utilization of modern maintenance practices which include the use of computerized maintenance management systems, key performance indicators, reliability centered maintenance, planning and scheduling, materials management, and a risk-based approach to life cycle management.
The position requires interaction between internal partners and customers, vendors and contractors, regulatory agencies, professional technical organizations, and the public. Additionally, provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Asst. Chief Maintenance Officer (ROW) and performs related duties as assigned.
Work outside normally scheduled hours will be expected and will include accessing operational environments to provide managerial oversight of work, perform inspections and investigations, and expedite return to service for critical equipment.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in electronics or computer technology or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Five (5) years of (full-time equivalent) verifiable train control, communications or computer systems maintenance program experience which must have included at least two (2) years of administrative and supervisory experience.
Other Requirements:
Must possess a valid California driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
Substitution:
Additional experience as outlined above may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis. A college degree is preferred.
